Ticket price API
Look up what tickets for an event cost right now. One capture returns the cheapest, median, average and highest price on the marketplace you choose, the price range of every section, the cheapest way to buy 2, 4 or 6 seats together, and what each price includes.
Ticket prices aren’t one number. They differ by section, by how many seats you buy together, and by whether fees are included — which also differs from one marketplace to the next.
TicketsData returns the same price fields from every marketplace and labels each price’s basis (list, base or all-in), so a price from StubHub and a price from SeatGeek mean the same thing in your app.
How it works
1. Capture the event: Send the event’s ID or URL on any supported marketplace.
2. Read the prices: summary.minPrice, medianPrice, averagePrice and maxPrice for the event; data.sections for each section’s lowest and highest price; summary.minPriceByPack for groups.
3. Compare marketplaces: A match returns the same summary for every marketplace the event is on, with the cheapest one highlighted.
Questions
Do prices include fees?
It depends on the marketplace, and every response says which: coverage.priceBasis is list, base or all-in, and each listing’s price has its own basis. The price basis guide explains how to compare them.
Can I get the face value?
On Ticketmaster, yes: event.faceValue gives the box-office price range where Ticketmaster reports it, next to the live resale prices.
Can I get just the lowest price for many events?
Yes. An event search returns each event’s lowest price on every marketplace it was found on, for one request per marketplace with results.
