Get Ticketmaster and StubHub ticket prices with an API

What the marketplaces’ own APIs give you, what they leave out, and how to get live listings and prices from every marketplace in one call.

What the official APIs are for

Ticketmaster’s public Discovery API is built for event discovery: it returns events, venues and attractions, and for some events a price range. It doesn’t return the individual listings on sale, resale prices by section and row, or how many tickets are left.

StubHub’s APIs are aimed at sellers and approved partners managing their own inventory, not at reading the whole market for an event. Vivid Seats, SeatGeek and Gametime each have their own programs and formats.

So if you need what a buyer sees — every listing, its section, row, quantity and price — on several marketplaces, you end up building and maintaining one integration per marketplace.

Live listings in one call

TicketsData returns that buyer’s view for an event on Ticketmaster, StubHub, Vivid Seats, SeatGeek, Gametime or Viagogo in one normalized schema. Send the event ID — or the event URL for StubHub — and get listings, section prices, a price summary and event information.

The same event on both

To put Ticketmaster and StubHub side by side, start a match from either one. TicketsData finds the same event on the other marketplaces and returns each one’s cheapest price, median and ticket count.

Prices differ in what they include. Ticketmaster and StubHub report list prices before fees; the coverage block in every response says which basis a marketplace uses, so you can label or adjust prices before comparing them.
