Ticket price comparison API
Power a “where is it cheapest?” feature. One match call finds the event on every marketplace and returns each one’s ticket summary side by side, plus the cheapest listing overall.
The same game is listed as “Knicks vs. Nets” on one site and “Brooklyn Nets at New York Knicks” on another, with different IDs, time formats and venue names. Matching them by hand is the hard part of any comparison tool.
TicketsData groups listings of the same real-world event by start time, venue and name, so you compare like with like.
How it works
1. Start from any marketplace: Send the event ID or URL you already have — from any of the supported marketplaces.
2. Match it everywhere: A match finds the same event on the other marketplaces and captures a summary on each. It uses 3 requests.
3. Show the comparison: Read data.marketplaces for each marketplace’s cheapest price, median and ticket count, and data.lowest for the overall winner.
Questions
Are prices comparable across marketplaces?
Each price says what it includes (list, base or all-in). The coverage guide explains the differences so you can label prices correctly or normalize them.
What if an event isn’t on every marketplace?
That marketplace comes back as not_found and the others are still compared. You use 3 requests for the match either way.
